This is kaleen bhaiya Real Haweli

New Delhi: You must have seen Kalin Bhaiya's house in Mirzapur web series. The same Tripathi House whose entire website has been weaned on a 'chair', but do you know that the Tripathi House or Tripathi Kothi shown in the web series Mirzapur is actually present in Banaras, 62 km from Mirzapur. Yes, Kaalin Bhaiya aka Akhanda, who is repeatedly shown in the Tripathi House Series, is actually the Motijheel Palace of Banaras. It is also known as Ajmatgarh Palace.

Actually, the distance from Banaras to Mirzapur is just 62 kilometers.  It takes about one to one and a half hour to go from Banaras to Mirzapur.  Although most parts of the web series have been shot in Benares and Mirzapur, some locations in Jaunpur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Lucknow and Bihar also appear in it.  The 7th episode of Season 1 of the web series was shot in Bhadoi, UP.

Moti Jheel Palace was shabby when the makers of Mirzapur selected it for the shoot. It took 10 days to clean and prepare for the shoot, but the makers prepared it in such a way that the original structure of the mansion did not deteriorate and its architecture would also look great.

Secret of mansion

Motijheel Haveli is located in the Mahmurganj area. This mansion was built by Babu Motichandra in 1908. He was given the title of King and Sir by the British Government. These were the landlords of the area at that time.

The crocodile hanging at the door of Moti Lake Haveli is a mystery. The crocodile's straw-filled statue hangs 20 feet long and 2 feet wide for 90 years. It is said that the king killed the crocodile and saved it in the palace to save the queen.

Regarding this, the son of the king says that in 1920, a giant crocodile was seen flowing in the flood in our native village of Azamgarh, the seafarers. People were terrified to see the danger of entering the village and the people of the whole village got together and killed it.

After killing them, they thought what to do with it, then they decided after consulting the head to give it to the king of Benaras, Motichandra, on behalf of the village.

After that they loaded the crocodile bullock cart and left the village. On the way, British officers and public were surprised to see such a big crocodile. Initially, when it came and Raja Saheb got it erected and hung it, then there was a crowd of people watching. People used to come to see it from far away. When the makers of Mirzapur were looking for a place to shoot, they liked this mansion so much that they decided to make it their main location for all seasons of Mirzapur.
